The Department of Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery provides comprehensive clinical services for all trauma and diseases affecting the hand, wrist and upper limb. Our hand specialists also provide round-the-clock microvascular service for upper limb and lower limb trauma, as well as the liver transplant programme.  We have contributed significantly towards research and development of Hand Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery, and also trained many fellows from the region and beyond, who have since returned to start and advance these fields in their respective home countries. Many aspiring surgeons also continue to come and receive training at the Microsurgery Skills Laboratory. It is hoped that continued research and teaching will allow us to contribute to and shape the future of hand surgery in the world.
